Introduction
Every Year SBI conducts online examination to recruit candidates for clerical cadre for various branches throughout the country. After the preliminary exam, candidates are shortlisted for the Mains examination and then for the interviews. This year SBI is going to recruit 17,000 candidates for the clerical cadre.
Eligibility
Graduates in any discipline from any recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India.
Candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply subject to the condition that, if called for interview/joining, they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation Examination on or before 30.June.2016.
Age Limit
The age of the candidates should be between 20 years and 28 years, both inclusive as of 1 April 2016.
Relaxation of age limit
The upper age limit is relaxed for the candidates belonging to the following categories.

The preliminary exam is of the following pattern:

Candidates have to pass each of the sections to qualify. The pass marks are determined by the bank. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

Quantitative: Arithmetic, Time and Distance, Mensuration and Geometry, Permutations and Combinations, Unitary Method, Ratio and Proportion, Age Calculation Problems, Simplification, Simple and Compound Interest
Reasoning: Visual Reasoning, Directions, Verbal Reasoning, Seating Arrangement, Coding and Decoding, Syllogisms, Number Series, Blood Relations
